Simple Tech Knits Video With Audio To Boost Artist Revenue

Remedy claims its core technology is simple. It connects video with audio from a viewer’s music streaming service and, as a result, every view helps a track to chart and earn more royalties. Artist and label promotional efforts pay off directly while fans get to support creators every time they listen. Notably, the platform requires no change in fan behavior.

Remedy’s first product harnessing this tech, for example, is a dynamic artist one page. This is a place for listing viewer links and it includes a music video stitched to a fan’s digital service provider (DSP) account. As video formats continue to dominate social media, Remedy will be appearing anywhere fans and artists meet through videos.

Reportedly, Remedy is part of a large group of creators seeking compensation for all their work, with much of this work being effective marketing. Remedy CEO Kevin Dailey believes, “Today, an aspiring artist is a digital marketing pro and regardless of his or her ultimate career goals, to sign to a label or stay independent, they need streams. In that growth cycle, Remedy serves them all the way through, even once they sign a label deal.”

The path involves a lot of video plays, however there are more uncompensated artist-fan touchpoints online than total DSP streams. Remedy allows these touchpoints to compensate artists for the first time. For more details, visit the Remedy website.
